The purpose of the campaign:

• To assist and participate in the general upkeep and cleanliness of our beaches.

• To keep our beaches clean and thus save the lives of sea creatures, and also to encourage the usage of our beaches and thereby grow beach tourism in the Province.

Division at the KZN Sharks Board takes turns cleaning-up our        beaches. Members of the general Public in and around those identified areas as well as Media Partners are more than welcome to partner and to participate.

The KwaZulu-Natal Sharks Board Maritime Centre of Excellence intends to run the campaign over many years to come. 

The clean-up takes place every first Friday of the month at selected beaches. Dates may change depending on weather conditions.
